Summer is officially over and Camp Rock finished yet another solid season of camp. We continue to grow in our summer camp program hosting 100 campers more in 2016 than in 2015! That is a 47.6% growth in one year!!! What an opportunity God has given us to impact hundreds of kids from the Panhandle and beyond.
Each year, we host a Fall Banquet at the Gering Civic Center. This banquet serves as an opportunity to thank people for their support throughout the past year, to update them on our ministry, and to raise funds for our operating budget. The 2016 Fall Banquet will be held on Tuesday, November 1 at 6:00pm and we are asking for your support in helping us meet our fundraising goals. This can happen in a couple of ways:
1– Sponsor a Table or Half-Table
A table sponsorship is $150 and a half-table sponsorship is $75. Both come with recognition of the sponsor in our program and at the table. You also have access to 10 complimentary tickets for a full sponsorship and 5 tickets for a half sponsorship. Any tickets not taken are donated back to Camp Rock.
2– Give an Item or Basket for the Silent Auction
Items or baskets given will be assessed a value and placed for auction. The donor of each item or basket will be given recognition on each bid sheet.
3– Donate a special amount above a sponsorship level
This is a fundraiser and we would be crazy to put a limit on gifts!
This fundraiser is vital to us so that we can continue to offer a quality camping experience at an affordable cost. Most summer camps throughout Nebraska and the surrounding states charge $375 (or more!) for a week of camp. (The national average is even higher!) Camp Rock charged $200 this past summer. We maintain the stance that finances should not become a reason not to send a child to camp. There are so many benefits of a summer camp experience in a child’s life.
